Here is a couple more Senior Pics Photos from a recent session, these were all shot outside and the weather and model couldn’t have been any better.  The warm evening light and the natural surroundings made for a great shoot, being inside in the studio is nice, but you just can’t beat shooting outside in natural light !!

One of the great things about living in Madison Indiana is the diversity of available photo backdrops to pick from. From the beautiful architectural sites to the amazing natural surroundings it’s very hard to pick from the wide array of places to shoot here.

“More Senior Pics”

Thought I might share a few more Senior Pics I took recently here in Madison Indiana. I think Senior Pics are my favorite part of photography, besides wildflowers, I love interacting with the models and how they are so great to work with.

Especially the girls I really feel like it is something that makes them feel special and they are the center of attention for a few hours, I know that everyone would like to feel that way sometimes as well, hopefully my work can give that too them and to the guys as well !!

More Senior Portraits

Thought I might share another portrait or to from here in Madison Indiana, this time it’s the girls turn to get their pic on the world wide web. I recently photographed this young lady who came in thinking she didn’t really think she would look good in front of the camera…boy was she ever wrong !!

Many Seniors who come in for a session feel very awkward at first and are not real sure of how they will look, but if you keep sharing the images with them it really helps to calm their nerves and before you know it  they are an old pro. Just keep the atmosphere light and let them see the results and soon they will be eating out of your hand !!

‘Madison Indiana Senior Portraits”

Sorry for the long absence but I have been so incredibly busy with Senior Portraits and Wildflower photography here in Madison Indiana that it has not left me with much time to post anything here…but maybe I have time to change that today !!

Here a few samples of my Senior Photography that has kept me so busy, all these kids were a blast to work with and I think their portraits came out great. For this post I thought I might start with the guys for today I will share the girls in later posts.

“Baby Pics”

I thought I might share some more pics I took of newborns recently here in Madison Indiana, it’s funny how when you see all those great pics of those sleeping babies and all the great poses it seems to look real easy to do…wrong !!

I just assumed all newborns slept all the time,  but not when they come to my studio, those little eyes are checking everything out and laying still is the last thing on their agenda. Now of course you know I am kidding about all this it’s not as bad as I let on, actually newborn baby photography has come a long way sine those days at Sears are wherever else you got you kids pics done.

With the hats,bowls and backdrops these are definitely not the baby pics your mother had done of you. Some of my favorite shots I do now are of newborns and alll the great accessories that go along with them.

“Madison Indiana Weddings”

I though I might post another shot from a wedding that I shot here in Madison Indiana from last fall. I shot this wedding on the grounds of the J.F.D Lanier Mansion a per-civil war home that was built by one Indiana’s earliest Millionaires, who loaned money to the Union Army in it’s battle with the confederates during the Civil War.

The State run facility is a wonderful place to use as a backdrop for a formal wedding, this was my first and hopefully not my last event that I will shoot here, the images are too numerous to share but a few caught my eye and I thought I might share them with you.

“Friends don’t let friends take their Senior Pics”

Does that sound a little harsh ?   It should be, I know in these uncertain economic times people are trying to cut back on unneeded expenditures in their life, but somethings you only get one shot at and Senior Pics are one of them!!

I know you have that friend who has a nice camera and all, but if that’s all you want then by all means go with them, but if it is something more creative you are after why don’t you let me get the shots you would be proud to hang on your wall or fill your Facebook pages with.

Just remember you get what you paid for and you definitely want something you can look back on not regret taking the cheapest way out…and actually my prices are not as high as one would expect.

And if you had your pics done by someone else and are not happy, bring them in and let  me retake them so you can see the difference,  I am sure I can give you something you could be proud of !!
